Warm-Up Question:
What information would you want to know about a cell phone plan before choosing the best one for you?

Investigation:
You are a representative for ____________________________ cell phone company. The CEO has requested that you do some research into their rates so that you can mathematically model their service plans to be able to convince potential customers (with concrete data) why they should choose your company. As you research online, look around the companys website to find the answers to the following questions: 1. What does the plan include? 2. How many anytime minutes are included? 3. How much does it cost for each additional minute? 4. How much does it cost for additional services? a. Internet b. Text messages c. Any other data services 5. What time do night/weekend minutes start? 6. Are there any other perks? (Example: Free mobile to mobile?)

Equations/Tables/Graphs:
1. What is your base price? 2. What is the cost for any additional services? 3. Soyour final equation is: y = _____________x + ______________ 4. What is the independent variable? 5. What is the dependent variable? 6. Create a table of values for 0-3,000 minutes (using increments of 200 minutes), then graph your results.
