TCS System Guidelines
Before raising a request please go through the below mentioned guidelines and follow them strictly. Do not format the machine or re-install your Operating system (OS) from which the certificate request was made. Do not re-install or upgrade your Internet browser from which the certificate request was made. If the cryptographic keys (Request) were generated on a Smart Card/ USB Token at the time of request generation, please ensure that the device is not re-initialized and the same should be used for downloading the certificate. Turn off Auto updates, Anti- virus updates or any other software upgrades which may affect the registry files of the system. Do not install any new software or applications on the computer till the time you download your certificate. Download the certificate within 21 days of receipt of authentication PIN. And please make sure that the following things are taken care of after the Certificate has been generated and is ready for downloading. Download the certificate within 21 days of receipt of authentication PIN. Please ensure that you perform the above steps on the same machine from which the request was initiated. If you generated the cryptographic keys (Request) on a browser or Smart Card or USB Token, the certificate will have to be downloaded onto the same browser or same Smart Card or same USB Token. If you reformatted your machine or reinstalled the browser after initiating your request, you will not be able to download your Digital Certificate. Please contact your RA administrator for assistance in case the Certificate is not downloaded or Certificate is downloaded but not exportable from browser private Key is not exportable) after download for a Replacement Certificate. Replacement Certificate option is available only for 21 calendar days from the date of issuance of Digital Signature Certificate.
