Separation of MN

This document presents results from experiments investigating the separation of lithium (Li), manganese (Mn), and cobalt (Co) from sulfate solutions using sodium salt of D2EHPA. Samples were taken across a range of initial and equilibrium pH values and the percentage extraction of each metal and distribution coefficients were calculated. The separation factors between Li/Co and Mn/Co increased with increasing pH, indicating better separation selectivity at higher pH values. Extraction percentages for all three metals generally increased with rising equilibrium pH as well.
