GSM Based Automatic Irrigation Water Control System
GSM Based Automatic Irrigation Water Control System
Types of irrigation
Basin flood irrigation of wheat Various types of irrigation techniques differ in how the water obtained from the source is distributed within the field. In general, the goal is to supply the entire field uniformly with water, so that each plant has the amount of water it needs, neither too much nor too little.

This system is a remote controlled pump control system. The remote control media used is the regular GSM cell phone. The system installed at the farm has two moisture sensors which analyze the moisture content of the soil. When the sensors are dry, System send SMS to user which will let him know that the farm has dried up. Then by sending a particular SMS using his phone to the system he can switch on the water pump or Valve. The pump can be switched off in the same manner. User can also set ON and OFF time. This system, if implemented, will save a lot of time, energy and money of the farmers by automation of the job.
