Joel 2

Joel 2 discusses the blowing of trumpets as a call to salvation and warning. It promises that God will pour out the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God, not just a power or wind, and knows all things. Contrasting passages in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Psalms and other books with passages in Acts and Hebrews provides insights into the Holy Spirit and what it means to call on the name of the Lord for salvation.

Joel 2

Memory Verse Romans 10:13 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

1 2

Chapter Two starts out with Blow ye the trumpet. What is the trumpet used for in the following scriptures:

Numbers 10 I Thessalonians 4:16 Revelation 8 Joel 2:1

I love this chapter because God promises in verse twenty eight, that He will pour out the Holy Spirit. It is important to

understand that the Holy Spirit is God. Not a power or wind. God is eternal, what does the bible say in Hebrews 9:14 regarding the Holy Spirit? God knows all things. What does the bible say in I Corinthians 2:11 regarding the Holy Spirit? What can you learn when contrast: Isaiah 6:8-10 with Acts 28:25-27

Jeremiah 31:31-33 with Hebrews 10:15-17

Psalm 95:7-11 with Hebrews 3:7-9

What does the Holy Spirit do in the following scriptures: Acts 13:2 Romans 8:26 John 15:26 John 14:26 Acts 16:6 Genesis 6:3 Ephesians 4:30 Hebrews 10:29 Acts 5:3 Matthew 12:31
