Cummins has been named one of the Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles award winners by the National Business Group on Health (NBGH). The Company was recognized at the gold level for the third time. We are pleased to once again be recognized by NBGH for our health improvement programs, said Jill Olds, Director Global Benefit Strategy. Since introducing our Health Tracks program four years ago, we have seen improved metrics on several health measures, including blood pressure, glucose and BMI, demonstrating the impact of employees and Cummins commitment to health. The Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles awards annually recognize those employers who work to improve their employees health, productivity and quality of life. Gold-level winners are noted for creating cultural and environmental changes that support employees who are committed to long-term improvement of their health and wellness. Cummins was among 28 gold-level winners including Chrysler Group, LLC; General Mills; NextEra Energy, Inc.; Target Corporation, and WellPoint, Inc. Notable examples cited on Cummins extensive award application included HealthTracks, which incorporates our health improvement and health management programs; coaching programs; the opportunity for many employee groups to earn a health plan contribution incentive for engaging in healthy behaviors, and the availability of the CBS Customer Contact Center for benefits information. The National Business Group on Health is a non-profit, membership organization of large employers that works to find innovative solutions to health care and related benefits issues.
