March 11, 2011 an Earthquake and tsunami came to Japan. The Earthquake was
recorded as 9.0 on the Richter scale and it was the most powerful quake ever to
hit the country. An hour after the Earthquake a tsunami hit Japan and killed
thousands of people. Japan has also faced a worst nuclear emergency since
Chernobyl. Explosion and leak of radioactive gas took place in three reactors at
the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station, and releasing radioactive material
directly into the atmosphere. Japanese officials turned to increasingly desperate
measures as traces of radiation were found in Tokyo’s water and in water
pouring from the reactors into the ocean, which makes the water being much
polluted.
On March 16, a snowy weather came to Japan and makes the rescue being more
difficult
As of March 31, the official’s death toll has been raised to more than 11,600
and more than 16,000 people were listed as missing. Two weeks after the
disaster another Earthquake with 6.5 on the Richter scale came to Japan but
nothing happened.
Even so many disasters came to Japan, but the citizens are still bravely looking
for their family and fix things up from the little kids to old people.
Many people in many countries are trying to help Japan and wish them luck,
they have even been crying for the Japanese people. A group of
Japanese community in Peru has organized movement folded paper cranes
to send good luck to those people having trouble at home. And many other
touched stories. Super Stars and famous people are also trying to help the sun
raise country. Lady Gaga is selling bracelets by 5 USD each and calling her
fans to help Japan, Sandra Bullock has given 1 million USD to help Japanese
people.
Japan Earthquake was the first warning to the world that we should protect the
Earth- our house.
