As Michelle's instructor for two Education courses and the advisor of her sorority, I can speak to several
professional attributes she carries.

In her flrst Education course, "Exploring Educational Issues through Writing", Michelle's enthusiasm to be the
best teacher she could be was evident. She attended all classes with an enthusiastic spirit and came prepared
with assignments and readiness to enter into conversations around the readings. She reflected well and
connected these with her own experiences as we often tried to deconstruct our own learning. I saw her grow as
a writer and as a person who pauses to think and reflect about what is happening.

In her second sourse with me, "Psychological Foundations of Elementary Education", a six credit course with a
five week field component to bridge theory with application, Michelle continued to develop her reflection skills
as she considered book research with what she saw in the classroom. She entered the field classroom ready to
assist and leam and she worked well with the classroom teacher. It was clear she loved the children as they did
her.

Much of her sorority life focused on service to the larger communig and she immersed herself in these
extracurricular activities, particularly well when it involved children, like the Healthy Foods and Activities Day
Alpha Phi provided for local children at the college gym. The energy there was infectious.

I believe Michelle will continue to carry this positive aura for the sake of the children she serves and that she
will continue to embrace the understanding that life-long leaming is the only way a teacher becomes good at her
work.
