Definitions CSR

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) can be defined in several ways. CSR generally refers to operating a business in an ethical and transparent way that meets the expectations of stakeholders. It can also refer to companies voluntarily integrating social and environmental concerns into their business operations and interactions. The World Business Council for Sustainable Development defines CSR as "the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large." There are differing perceptions of CSR across societies.
