Spelling Menu Assignments

From the choices below, choose activities that would best suit you, and complete the required
assignment. After you finish the activity, write the number of points on the blank line for that
activity. Make sure your points meet or exceed a total of 100 points by Friday morning BEFORE you
turn it in. Staple the assignments to this sheet.

_____7. Make flashcards of all of your words using one color for consonants and
another color for vowels. Use the cards to study your words. (20 points)

_____8. Write or type your words in alphabetical order. (15 points)

_____9. Classify your words according to parts of speech (noun, verb, adjective,
adverb, etc.). Record your words in a table. (15 points)

_____10. Find 10 spelling words in a newspaper or magazine. Highlight the word,


cut out article, and bring to class. (15 points)
