EnRoute Procedures

This document provides an outline for a flight lesson on en route procedures. The objectives are for students to demonstrate knowledge of ATC clearances, properly communicate clearances, and interpret en route charts. The lesson includes a 0.75 hour ground session reviewing elements of ATC clearances and en route chart symbology. The recommended 1.5 hour flight will have students receive and follow an ATC clearance and interpret charts in-flight. Upon return there will be a 0.25 hour debrief to discuss the flight.
