Short Range Training (15 min on topic) FUTURE PLANNING


(Planning and coordination needed for training 3-8 weeks out)

PL / PSG Input – Based on their training assessments, platoon leaders and platoon sergeants develop
plans to improve training proficiency.
Training Schedule Development – Point out Events / Training / Activities to be added to the
Training Schedule from higher Echelon of Command.
Commanders Review - Approves or Disapproves Suggested Training from the PL / PSG to remove
conflicts from the Training Schedule.
Ranges - What Ranges are being conducted? Who is going, and what role do they serve at the range
(OIC, NCOIC, RSO, etc)?
Schools – On post: What certifications are required to be filled, and who will fill them? When can they
be certified?
- Off post – What Schools are scheduled and who is going? What preparations need to be made to
send them?
Land and Ammo – Range and Ammo requests statuses.
