A step- by- step guide

Step 1: Open the Gmail web site


Go to http://gmail.com.
Step 2:Click on: ‘Sign up for Gmail’ link,
then proceed to the next
step.

information in the "Create an
Account" online form

This is important as your login name will decide the
email address you will get.
Pick a login name, also called the username, with care.
You can try:
 firstnamelastname
 firstname.lastname
no two people in the world can have the same address,
so there is no guarantee that your preferred login
name is available.

Choosing a password for your
email
Choose a password that nobody else can guess.
A combination of uppercase and lowercase letters with
some digits thrown in would be a strong password.
The indicator will show you if the password is strong.
You need to enter the password twice.
Step 5: Protecting your Gmail
account with a security question
You now need to either select a security question
from the drop down list,
and you need to provide the answer.
Step 6: Word verification and
confirmation
Enter the characters that you see in the picture.
