You are on page 1/ 1

Research strong, protective deities that you feel a connection with, and get to know them.

Choose one
to call on, or maybe two if they're compatible.

Choose herbs that are protective and/or cleansing. Sage, thyme, garlic, black pepper, salt, and apples are
recommended. Research the meaning behind any herbs you choose so that you can pour the right motivation
and energy into the herbs.

Plan your verbal assault. Choose words that feel strong to you, and that are easy for you to say in a
potentially stressful situation. Call upon your chosen deity (or deities) and be sure to demand your wishes.
Throw your intention into your speech. For example, "Begone, and never mess with me again in the name of
(deity/ies name/s)."

Wait for the demon to be present. Point or cast your chosen herb(s) at it and recite your speech with
strength and certainty. Do not back off.

Spell to Banish Evil Spirits

To banish evil spirits from your presence, draw the Eolh rune (z) in red ink on each palm so that when you extend
your hand with your palm out and your fingers up, the rune is upright. Whenever you sense an evil presence, clap
your hands together three times so that your palms tingle, and hold out your hands in the direction of the malicious
entity, saying: "Eagles claws are strong, Dragons teeth are long; Arnhofdhi guards the way, Sigfadhir wins the day."
Arnhofdhi means eagle-headed, and Sigfadhir means father of victory. Both are names of the god Odin, lord of the
runes and god of magic.

BANISHING AND CLEANSING RITUAL

Point your Athame at the sky, and then at the earth. Then pointing Athame horizontally
either spin 360 or walk around the perimeter with the Athame held out in a threatening manner.
Spirits of evil, Unfriendly beings
Unwanted guests, Be gone!
Leave us leave this place, leave this Circle,
that the Goddess and the God may enter.
Go, or be cast into the outer darkness!
Go, or be drowned in the watery abyss!
Go, or be burned in the flames!
Go, of be torn by the whirlwind!
By the power of the Mother and the Horned One
We banish you! We banish you! We banish you!
Sprinkle the perimeter with salt and water.
