GENERATOR

(PERMANENT INSTALLATION)
MAXIMUM PLAN SIZE 24"x 36" NO HIGHLIGHTING

Please indicate items submitted with a checkmark (√). All items MUST be submitted.

Applicant must provide a completed application(s) and the following items:


(one copy if items are 11” x 17” or smaller and two copies if larger)

ƒ Electrical Generator permit application. **


- AND -
ƒ Plumbing permit application for Natural or LP Gas Lines ONLY. **
See Counter Checklist GAS LINES and TANKS for requirements.
- OR -
ƒ Building permit application for LP Gas Tank & Lines. **
See Counter Checklist GAS LINES and TANKS for requirements.

1. Copy of complete contract signed by both parties.

2. Survey with location of generator and setbacks to property lines.


Generator shall not be installed within 10’ (any direction) of any opening*
ALL openings - within vicinity of generator - shall be clearly shown and
identified on survey.
* window, door, soffit vent, etc.

3. Load calculation showing all loads (circuits) connected to the standby system.

4. Electrical riser showing interconnection of all electrical components including


normal/emergency connection of standby loads (circuits).

5. Size: Generator (kw); Transfer switch (amps).

6. Generator and Transfer Switch specifications - Include: manufacturer specs,


installation and operating instructions (provide manufacturer specific installationK
instructions regarding slab size, fastener detail and required clearances).

7. Typical section of slab and fastening detail.

GENERATORS ARE REQUIRED TO MEET SETBACKS OF THE PRIMARY STRUCTURE


per Ordinance No. 01-04.

** REQUIRED PERMIT FEES APPLY.


Valuation of each permit determined by the total value of work including material,
equipment and labor even when supplied by others.
