REAR SHELVES
Magazines: Arminian, Methodist/Wesleyan Methodist and Primitive Methodist.
Note: These Methodist monthly magazines are placed on the shelves CI, CII and DII at the rear of the bookcases. There
are some issues missing and as these magazines have been acquired in sets from different sources some sequences overlap
with others or are not in overall datal order.
The earliest of these publications is the bound copy of the Arminian Magazines for 1794 at DII-7, followed by bound
copies of the Methodist Magazines for 1804-11 at DII-8 to 15, with another bound volume for 1812 at DII-15a.
The main sequence for the (Wesleyan) Methodist Magazine is on shelf CI (top of bookcase) 1-88, for years 1812-1880. It
has some omissions. Further bound copies for years 1879, 1888, 1891-95 and 1897-1902 are on shelf CII-1-14. Then
there is a gap in time until separate issues of the Methodist Magazine for 17 months in 1968 and 1969 follow at CII-15 to
31.
The listing of Methodist magazines issue by issue follows the system by shelves in stocks as established for this collection.
