Inter and Intra Assay Coefficients of Variability - SALIMETRIC

The document discusses calculating and reporting coefficients of variability (CV) when performing immunoassay tests. It defines the inter-assay CV and intra-assay CV. The inter-assay CV measures plate-to-plate consistency based on control values run on multiple plates, while the intra-assay CV measures the variation between duplicate test results within samples. It provides examples of calculating both and recommends CVs below 15% for inter-assay and 10% for intra-assay. Poor pipetting technique can increase intra-assay CVs.
