Pearce
Monday November 30th, 2009

 Please take attendance for each class. Attendance sheets are in the
WHITE binder on my desk.
 Thank you for filling in for me for periods 1 & 2 only. I will be in the
building for a PLC meeting, so I will be able to discuss the lessons to be
delivered during the morning.

PERIOD LESSON PLAN


Period 1
MDM 4U 1. Please go through Sec. 5.2 (6.2 in text) – Odds with the students on the
Grade 12 University blackboard (or on the SMART Board, if you feel comfortable). I can get the
Data Management lessons setup on the SMART Board if you feel you would rather deliver the
lessons in that fashion.
8:15am – 9:35

2. Please assign Practice: Page 318-319 #1-6, 9-12. Students are fine to
work in partners, but ensure they are aware that they will be separated if
they are not working at an acceptable volume.

3. Also remind students that they have practice questions from Thursday &
Friday which are important for this section to be fully understood.

Period 2 1. MIND BUSTER for first 15 Mins: (Exponent Rules from Thu/Fri)

2. LESSON: Sec. 7.2 – Zero and Negative Exponents
9:40 – 10:55 Handouts for students are on my desk. Complete front with students on
SMART Board or Chalk board (Which ever you prefer). You may take up a
few from the back, then let them complete the remainder.
3. If time permits, Assign Practice: Page 367-371 #1-3, 6-7(a,c,e), 8

 Please leave your comments on student behaviour as well as whether the


class completed the work assigned.
 If students are not acting appropriately or completing assigned work,
please write down the names of individuals and they will be dealt with
accordingly.
