Parent Letter for Field Trip

Dear Parents,
As you may know we have been learning about the Revolutionary
War and have been given the opportunity to visit a place that will
extend this study with real life experiences! Ms. Donahoos 5th grade
class will be visiting The Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives on
Tuesday, May 10, 2016. There will be no cost for the museum tour,
sack lunch and snack. However there will be a travel cost of $32 for
each student and chaperone attending the trip. (We will be taking a
charter bus.) Please send this amount in cash in an envelope with your
child and ask them to hand it in to me as soon as they walk in the door.
This way, students will be less likely to misplace their money
throughout the day. Cost will be due by April 15, 2016. Students do
not need to bring any extra money for the day, lunch, drinks and
snacks will be provided. To attend this field trip, students are required
to continue to follow day-to-day instructions and have positive
behavior marks or they will not be able to attend the trip with the rest
of the class. Also, students may bring their cell phones for emergency
use only. They may use them on the bus, but we ask that they keep
them put away while in the museum but there may be no other
electronic devices, food or drink brought onto the bus. On the pages
attached is our schedule for the day and any other information you
may need to know. Please contact me in you have any questions or
concerns.
Thank you,
