Introduction
My name is Heather and I have been in the Early Childhood field for over 5 years. I have
completed over 200 fieldwork hours in a licensed center. I spent the majority of my time
in the Head Start GSRP classroom. These preschoolers were considered to be at-risk.
Some students came from single parent households and/or low-income level families.
Many of the students in this program also exhibited challenging behavior. I will be
completing my education to obtain my associates degree in Early Childhood Education
from Oakland Community College in the 2016 winter. From there, I will be pursuing a
bachelors degree in the field of Early Childhood Education at Rochester College in an
expedited, online program. I currently live in Michigan but will be moving to Aurora,
Colorado in May of 2016 and am eager to find a center to work in.
Objective
To obtain employment in the early childhood education field.
