Population Increase

The world population is projected to grow from 6 billion to 12-15 billion by 2100, placing great demands on resources and causing serious pollution problems. Industrial growth generates huge amounts of solid waste and uses millions of liters of water that are discharged into water bodies, harming wildlife and humans. Ozone depletion is caused by CFCs and similar chemicals releasing chlorine when exposed to sunlight, creating a hole that allows ultraviolet rays to reach the earth's surface and widely impact health, crops and ecosystems. Global warming is defined as an increase in average temperatures due to a warmer atmosphere, oceans and landmasses, which may alter rainfall and melting glaciers causing sea level rise. Measurements show global temperatures have already increased 1 degree F

Population Increase

The world population is increasing

rapidly. Current population is around 6
billion and will increase to 12- 15 billion
by year 2100. There will be great
demands on resources such as Space,
Water and Food. There will be serious
pollution problems as a result of
population growth.

E.P. due to Industrial Growth

In manufacturing process huge quantities of
solid wastes , are discarded which if not
properly treated or removed , change the
composition of soil or even makes barren.
Certain manufacturing unit like textile,
chemical, fertilizer, pulp and paper etc use
million liters of water , which in later
discharged to water bodies causes havoc to
fish, cattle and people.

Ozone Depletion
Ozone , the atom of oxygen is destroyed by
CFCs and other similar chemicals which
release chlorine when exposed to sunlight.
The chlorine then attacks the ozone
converting into oxygen.
During turbulence at this height the ozone
thins out , creating a hole which allows ultra
violet rays from the sun to the surface of the
earth.
Ultra violet radiation has widespread effects
on human health, crop and ecosystems.

GLOBAL WARMING
Global Warming, increase in the average temperature of
the atmosphere, oceans, and landmasses of Earth..
A Warmer Earth may lead to change in rainfall patterns,
melting of glaciers due to this rise in the sea level..

Measurements indicates that the global temperature

has increased by about 1 Fahrenheit degree in the past
century
