What will Library lessons look like?

Library sessions this year will be a little different. Two Kindergarten classes will come to the Library for a
45min session once a week. Before recess, classes must pack up and bring their bags to the Library.
When recess is finished, classes will line up as usual but will then be brought straight to the Library.
Upon arrival, students will removed their borrowing bags from their school bags and place any books
to be returned into the green returns box at the end of the borrowing bench. While the Teacher
Librarian is returning the books, one of the classroom teachers reads this weeks story while the other
teacher monitors behaviour and engagement. Once the story is finished, students who are
borrowing will borrow, while classroom teachers discuss story with remaining students. Once
borrowing is completed, students complete an activity related to the story. Then its just pack up and
dismiss students.
