MY REFLECTIONS
1. While you were observing the learners, did you recall your own
experiences when you were their age? What similarities or
differences do you have with the learners you observed?
ANSWER: Yes. As I observed the learners I recall my
elementary days. The practice exercises, recitations and
board works. In my own experience, our similarities just
like them Im fond of answering in class recitations, for
me class participation is very much important to test
myself if I really understand what our teacher taught us.
On the other hand, our differences are that I have this
attitude that if I already understand the lesson I will not
listen anymore to my teacher but instead I will have my
own discussion with my seatmates. Unlike the students I
observed up to the last minute of the class they still
listen very eagerly to their teacher.
2. Think of a teacher you cannot forget for positive or negative
reasons. How did she/he help or not help you with your needs
(physical, emotional, social, and cognitive)? How did it affect
you?

An Observation Guide for the Learners' Characteristics
1. As you observe the class, look into the characteristics of
the learners. Note their ages.
2. How many boys are there? How many girls?
3. Focus on their behavior. Are they already able to manage
their own behavior?
4. Can the learners' already work independently?
5. Describe their span of attention.
6. Look into their listening skills and ability to concentrate.

OBSERVATION
As I observed the classroom I noticed the different areas in the
classroom for storage, like the cabinets containing the different
laboratory apparatus for science experiments. There are also shelves
containing their different educational activities. The learning aids or
materials are placed on the teacher's table then to be posted in the
blackboards.
There are rules and regulations posted in their classroom such as
no bullying and here they have the policy of honesty. Of course the
students participated in making their home room rules because they
are the one involved with this practice. The daily routines are: the class
starts with a prayer then continues with the checking of attendance
done by the homeroom teacher, the class discussion and when the
classes end they end it with a prayer also. The seating arrangement is
in the basis of alternation (boy, girl) process. The reason for this
arrangement is that the students will be able to socialize well and
orderly to the opposite sex. The noise level of the classroom is on its
peak. The reason why is because the students are in their stage of age
or in the level of exploration and expressing publicly their ideas that's
why they may be a bit noisy.
This noise level is managed by the teacher by talking to the
students. If a learner does not follow instructions given to him or her
teacher provides a disciplinary action and after the teacher asks nicely
why he or she did not follow and will make the students realize that
they should follow. The teacher do to reinforce positive behavior is by
talking nicely to the students and being a good role model to them.

MY ANALYSIS
1. How did the classroom organization and routines affect the
learners' behavior?
Answer: The classroom organization and routines affect
the learners' behavior by knowing their limitations. The
minds of the students are set that they rules to be
followed because of this they will practice their proper
attitude and act politely.
2. What should the teacher have in mind when he/she designs the
classroom organization and routines? What theories and
principles should you have in mind?
Answer: The teacher should have in mind that he or she
mingles with students so that he or she will be more
careful while making the set of routines, they should
make it to a point that the students are oriented and they
participate while making the rules. And also the teacher
should prepare ice breakers so that the students will not
get bore and will retain the interest in studying.
3. Which behavior strategies were effective in managing the
behavior of the learners? In motivating students? Why were they
effective?
Answer: Behavior strategies effective in managing the
behavior of the learners are by doing positive
reinforcement.
The
teacher
should
play
the
characteristics of being caring and should motivate the
learners to pursue their efforts in their study by giving
rewards or incentives if the student performs excellence
in class whether academically or non-academically by
doing this. The students will strive hard, will actively
participate and will perform very well.

MY REFLECTIONS
1. Imagine yourself organizing your classroom in the future. In what
grade/year level do you see yourself? What routines and
procedures would you consider for this level? Why?
ANSWER: As I imagine myself organizing my classroom in
the future, I see that I will be handling Grade 7 students.
If I want to handle Grade 7 students I will do routines or
procedures that will surely suit their age range. For
example when the class starts I will teach them to pray
first before anything else, I would also imply that there
would be story telling session so I can get their interest
and slowly going to the subject matter in a way that they
will not feel hazard but instead they will enjoy. I could
also conduct ice breakers, a little dance step and singing
a song to stimulate the energy of the students. And I will
also provide few minutes for rest. Rest minutes will help
them to regain their energy.
2. Make a list of the rules are likely to implement in this level. Why
would you choose these rules?
Rules:
Uniform of the students should be worn properly.
School I.D. should always be present.
Boys should observe proper haircut.
Boys and Girls should observe proper hygiene all the times.

1. Identify the persons who play key roles in the relationships and
interactions in the classrooms. What roles do they play? Is there
somebody who appears to be the leader, a mascot/joker, an
attention seeker, a little teacher, a doubter/pessimist?
ANSWER: The main persons who play key roles in the
classroom is the teacher himself or herself and of course
the learners. The teacher plays the role of a facilitator he
or she guides and facilitates the learner when doing their
perspective works. There are students who plays to be a
class leader, she is the one whom facilitates and control
the noise level and regulates her classmates when the

you will be going to the group that will surely suit your
personality and attitude.
MY REFLECTIONS
1. How did you feel being in that classroom? Did you feel a sense of
oneness or unity among the learners and between the teacher
and the learners?
ANSWER: When Im in the classroom, I already feel that
Im already a teacher. I also feel the sense of oneness and
unity among the learners because I can see their
eagerness to strive hard so that they can learn a certain
topic. And also the unity among the teacher and the
learners because unity implies uniformity and harmony
and the class I visited portray this characteristic.
2. In the future, how would you want the learners in your classroom
to interact? How will you make this happen?
ANSWER: In the future, I want my students to interact in a
way that they will feel no tension at all. I want them to
express freely what they feel but in a manner that they
will not offend their other classmates. I will make this
happen by briefing them and by letting they know the
essence of harmony in the classroom and making them
realize that we will all benefit if we practice this type of
interaction.

MY ANALYSIS
1. Did your observation match the information given by the
teacher? Were you able to correctly identify who among the
students performed well and who did not? What behavior helped
you identify them? (Volunteering to answer, responding to
teacher's directions, etc.)
ANSWER: Yes of course my observation matched the
information given by the teacher. I certainly identified
those pupils who performed well and not so actively
performing well. The behavior helped me identify the well
performing pupils is that they are very fond of raising
their hands when the teacher asks them several
questions about the subject matter, and I be able to
identify those pupils who are not so good in class by
means of when the teacher asks them a particular
question they wouldn't be able to answer the question
and often when the teacher asks them they just remain
quiet.
2. Describe the differences in ability levels of the students in the
class. Is there a wide gap between the students who are
performing well and those that are not?
ANSWER: Those students who perform well in the class
have the ability to easily understand and cope up with
the lesson while those students who performed not so
well takes a longer time for them to understand the
lesson. Theres a gap but it is not wide enough, because
as said it only takes time for some students to
understand the subject matter but on the bottom line
they still can cope and join as others are doing.
3. Describe the methods used by the teacher in handling the
students' differences in abilities. How did the students respond to
the teacher? Did the teacher use differentiated instruction? If
yes, describe how.
Answer: Yes. The methods used by the teacher in class in
handling her students whether high or low achiever is

2.MY REFLECTIONS
1. Recall the time when you were in the elementary or high school.
Recall the high and low achievers in your class. How did your
teacher deal with differences in abilities? Was your teacher
effective?
ANSWER: When I was in elementary my teacher used to
treat us fairly. She is very effective and approachable
because she helped on the things that maybe difficult
and hard for us. For instance when a lot of us didn't catch
up a certain topic she discussed she would gladly repeat
it all over again just to make us understand the
discussion. She also cites more examples for us to master
the topic. She is not a quitter which is very admirable for
a teacher she will not stop unless all of the class
understands the topic.
MY LEARNONG PORTFOLIO
With the principle of individual differences in mind, what
methods and strategies will you remember in the future to ensure that
you will be able to meet the needs of both the high and low achievers
in your class? Make a collection of strategies on how to address the
students different ability levels.
ANSWER: In the future, as I will be teaching the next
generation, I will never forget this desire of letting the
students understand all of the lessons. It is not enough if

Educational Attainment:
Physical Development
Tristan has a fair complexion, he is slightly thin but his height is just
appropriate to his age. Plus he is a very good looking boy. The child is
healthy and don't have serious illness.
Social Development
He is sociable enough because he goes out and mingles with his
friends. He is also a sweet child to his mother and siblings.
Emotional-Moral Development
Emotionally he is quite well. He is a little bit shy of expressing what
he wants, feelings and ideas. Maybe it is right if he is faced into
others so that he can communicate with them more often and to
remove his shyness.
Cognitive Development
On cognitive development he is good. He exerts efforts in academics
and strives hard to understand the subjects and lessons.
Findings
In my findings about the child, I learned that he is taken care very
well.
Conclusions
Therefore I conclude that in order to have great aspects whether
physically, emotionally, morally and cognitive aspects are that is a
good background and rising up of families.

Recommendations
I would strongly recommend to the family to help their son interact
with other individual so that he would overcome his shyness.
MY ANALYSIS
1. From your home visit and interview, what do you think is the
style of parenting experienced by the learner? Explain your
answer.
ANSWER: In my own view, I think that the type of
parenting her mother id conducting is more on
authoritarian because it is the mother that decides and
what should be done in behalf of the father. That's why it
is just appropriate if she is more of an authoritarian.
2. Relating your data with what you learned from child
development, what family factors do you think contribute to the
development and over-all adjustment of the learner in school?
ANSWER: His parents are a factor that greatly contributes
to the development of the child. In all over adjustment he
is coping with it may be the reason is the proper
guidance of his mother and the support of his siblings.
3. Does the communication between the home-school have an
effect on the learner? If yes, what are these effects?
ANSWER: Of course it has. As we know our parents are our
first teacher that is why if they taught us very well we
will be able to cope up to the outside world we will be
dealing with. Because, if we are not taught properly at

MY REFLECTIONS
1. As a future teacher, how would you establish good-home school
collaboration? How can you work well with the parents? How can
you help them? How can they help you?
ANSWER: As a future teacher, I will establish good homeschool collaboration by ensuring that my students will
apply what they learned in the school to their homes,
that my students will feel that school is their second
home, and parents are connected to the school so
whether there are problems with their child, they can
immediately respond to guide and assist their child. I can
work well with the parents by having a meeting wherein
we will discuss some matters about the needs of the
school, problems, behaviors, and performance of their
child in school. By those, I can help them to know
whether their child needs guidance or something. All I
want to the parents is to monitor their child not just in
their school performance but also their etiquettes and
behaviors in their home. Teachers and parents must unite
and cooperate in terms of the childs schooling. They
should be updated of the childs god and wrong
behaviors. If these will all be realized, then we will not
have problem/trouble in dealing with the learner/child.
