Manual - OSPF Forwarding Address - MikroTik Wiki

The document discusses how to configure OSPF forwarding addresses to allow traffic to pass through routers. By default, OSPF routes only allow traffic on the advertising router. To fix this, the forwarding router R1's OSPF configuration was updated to include the 10.1.101.0/24 network. This causes R1 to set the forwarding address in LSAs to 10.1.101.1 instead of itself, allowing traffic from R2 to reach external networks through R1. Verifying the route on R2 now shows it goes through R1's interface in that network.
