Rules of Engagement
Timing is everything
Important to know when the highest percentage of your audience is logged into
their social media accounts, so that when you share your content you will get
maximum exposure.
Be interactive

Like, share and retweet any post that is relevant to the club or represents the
clubs mission statement.

Try to provide commentary back to people when they comment on your posts. It
will make the club seem more personal

The best times to post on Facebook are 14 p.m. late into the week and on
weekends.
Saturday and Sunday at 121 p.m.

what you write and publish online might impact on your reputation or others

Important reminders
It is important to make a weekly plan of posts and to follow it, but if an
emergency happens or something that is big or urgent make sure you post
about it right away.
When sharing a blog/article/news on twitter these can be retweets from
other accounts or something that you post that is relevant to SEEDR. It can be
at WWU, in Bellingham, or even worldwide. Post the link, then provide a short
caption.
When posting a true or false, fill in the blank, or question make sure to
provide the answer before the next day.
When tweeting about topics related to WWU make sure to hashtag #WWU or
#Western because it will get more interactions.
In general on Twitter try to use hashtags because it will get more interactions.
Social media during a disaster
First post or sentence should always be about thoughts and condolences are
with the victims.
Dont jump to conclusions.
Only post confirmed information.
Its ok to post more than usual during a disaster to keep people updated, but
be sensitive to the victims, families and community.
Dont provide any opinion in any of the posts.
