Achievements and responsibilities

My main responsibilities within this job role, was dealing with


customer orders i.e. taking food and drinks order to customers,
suggesting and recommending dishes or explaining the menu
layout. Furthermore, helping customers feel relaxed and comfortable
within the delicatessen and in doing so Id have to speak to the
customers in a good manner.
The job involved working in a team based culture.
Keeping a clean environment to ensure a high level of hygiene
Effective communication between members of staff.

Although the duration of the job role was set for one week based on work
experience, it only gave me a short time to settle in. At the end of the
work experience period I was given an appraisal from which I was given
positive feedback and was also offered payment for my work, not normally
issued to people on work experience.
Additional information

I have recently passed my theory and practical driving tests, both were
passed first time and I also own a car at this current moment, but I
unfortunately cant afford the monthly insurance at this period of time.
I have recently done a Morisons supply chain master class within collage,
I was 2 hours long and I enjoyed doing it as it was something new. I will
attend any more events like this within collage when the opportunity
arises.
Furthermore, I have also done a presentation on the Morrisons supply
chain; it was presented to 10+ employers from big organisations. This will
become useful within the workplace because my confidence and
communication skills have been improved because of it.
Hobbies & Interests

My current hobby would be cycling, I cycle when I can and Id cycle to


work if necessary, so there would be little chance of me being late to
work. One of my main interests would be business, considering Im
currently on a level 3 business course and my long term goal is to own a
successful business.
Personal statement

Im 18 years of age and I am currently looking for a job, I really want


to make something of myself in the future. Im a bit shy in meeting
new people and Id like to be more confident. However, I am able to
work as a part of a team or by myself if needed; I will do my best to
improve the efficiency of work within the workplace.
My personal aspiration is to own my own a business.
Flexibility

Im currently in full time education and this means that Ill only be
available on evenings and weekends. My current hours within
college consist of: Monday 9am-4.15pm, Wednesday 9am - 2.30 and
Thursday 9am - 4.15) as I have Tuesdays and Fridays off Im
available in the mornings if needed.
