Process and Purpose of Assessment

Brainstorming

Students use brainstorming to learn new concepts using the


previous knowledge they've learned before. By grouping
themselves with five members each group, the students will
brainstorm and list down the names of all the animals they know
and to where the animals they listed live.
Teachers use anecdotal notes to record all their observations
about the child including their progress and problems. Using this
is a way of monitoring the students' progress as well as focusing
on areas which students are having difficulties and what to do to
make improvements.

Informal Questioning

Teacher use written and oral tests and quizzes to have a direct
evidence of the students knowledge and understanding of the
lesson.
Students will document specific accomplishments during
classroom activity. It will also be used by the students to keep
tracks about their daily accomplishments. Learning logs are used
by teacher to monitor progress of students throughout a project
and use it as a basis for providing feedbacks.
Students use this checklist to make sure they were able to do
the steps in an orderly manner and were not able to miss any.
This may be done individually or by group.
Students demonstrate, create or design a production or events
that show their learning. Teacher will use a rubric or scoring
guides.
Students assess themselves individually using this rubric to help
them monitor their own progress and encourage them to do
better. This rubric may also be used by group leaders to rate
their members during group activities.
Teacher use rubric to assess students using the same criteria.
Teacher uses informal questioning to allow the student to openly
express their ideas, thoughts and understanding of things.
