Cable Reinforcement
1 Description
In this study case a single feeder has been defined. A cable sizing calculation can be carried
out on this feeder in order to improve the results associated with the feeder coming from
load flow calculations against thermal loading, short circuit and voltage constraints. A library
of cable types has been provided in the project library. If recommendation mode is selected
the cable sizing tool will select cables from the selected cable type library in order to achieve
the optimum solution against the selected constraints. Variations containing the
recommended cable changes can be generated and applied and removed as required. The
comparing of results mode can be used to evaluate the feeder operation point improvement
as a result of the recommendation.
