ANALYZING CLASSICAL FORM

The new supporting Le eventually resolves at m. 100 to bring a


stepwise-descending sequence of the entire 10-m. model, one that has a decidedly
sentential organization. The presentation phrase of the model is sequenced a step
lower at mm. 100103. The harmonic plan is then altered in mm. 1046 so that
the continuation (mm. 1079) is transposed down a fifth in relation to the original
