Councilmember Chris Cate will participate in the Mission Valley YMCA's 6th Annual Bike-A-Thon on January 30th from 9-10am to raise funds for kids and families in need. The funds raised will support the YMCA's 2016 fundraising campaign to benefit children, families, and seniors in District 6. COUNCILMEMBER CHRIS CATE PEDALS FOR YMCA KIDS AND FAMILIES IN NEED
San Diego, CA: On Saturday, January 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Councilmember Chris
Cate will be participating in the Mission Valley YMCAs 6th Annual Bike-A-Thon to raise funds for
kids and families in need. All dollars raised from the bike-a-thon will support the YMCAs 2016
fundraising campaign.
The Y is a place for families. When we invest in our families, we reinvigorate our
neighborhoods. This event will directly benefit kids, families and seniors in District 6, stated
Councilmember Chris Cate.
We thank Councilmember Cate for both promoting the importance of staying active and
recognizing the value that the Ys outreach program bring to our communities. Thanks to his
support and the support of 150+ other cyclists, this fundraising effort will help thousands of
kids through free and subsidized programs, said Siddhartha Vivek, YMCA of San Diego County.
