B. Drawing A Graph Sketch For A Simple Quadratic Function

The document discusses key terms related to graphing quadratic functions: 1) The domain is the set of real x-values, some located within a closed interval and some not. 2) The co-domain is all real numbers. 3) The range is the function values f(x) using real x values from the domain. 4) Zero determiners are the x-values that make the function equal to zero.

Drawing a Graph Sketch for

a Simple Quadratic Function
The graph of quadratic function is
parabola, satisfy with (x) = ax + bx + c.
On the quadratic function and is graph,
you have to understand the following
serval terms.

Domain
The domain of quadratic function (x) = ax +
bx + c is the values set of xR. Some of these x
values are located in the closed interval and
some of them are not.
2) Co-domain
Co-domain of the quadratic function is all real
number.
3) Range
The range of a quadratic function are the values
of (x) which qualifies form ax + bx + c, where
every x is an element of the domain, which is
the ares which formed by all real variable x
domain elements subtituated into ax + bx + c.
1)

Zero Determiner of Function

Zero Determiner of Function (x) is values of x which
when subtituted into (x) the result would be zero.
These values are the roots of the quadratic (x) = 0.
5) Equation of Symmetry Axis
Equation of symmetry axis is the line equation which
is the folded symmetry axis of the quadratic function
graph.
6) Vertex Point Coordinate of Turning Point
Vertex point coordinate or turning point is the
coordinate of a point which is the apex of the
quadractic function graph. There sre two types of
vertex point, one is the maximum vertex point which
is when the parabolas concave is facting downwards
and the maximum vertex point if the perabolas
concave is facting upward.
4)

Maximum Value and Minimum Value

Maximum value is the greatest function
value, while the minimum function value is
the least function value. The maximum or
minimum value of the quadratic function
which we would learn is located on the
apex point.
7)

To draw a simple quadratic function graph,

perform the following step.
Step 1 :
Determine the coordinate pair of the points
located in the function graph f by choosing
several integers x values in the interval.
Then, calculate the function value value for
for those x values.
Step 2 :
Draw pairs of point coordinate which is
obtained from step 1 in the cartesian plane
Step 3 :
Connect the point using a smooth curve.

Finish
