- The document describes the first week of work on a project called "Pizza Panic" where the goal is to create a model of a retro-style pixelated pizza using various materials.
- The writer created a mind map and gathered the necessary tools like a scalpel, ruler, and colored plastercine (modeling clay). They carefully constructed a pixelated pizza base out of yellow plastercine and added red plastercine pepperoni slices.
- Orange plastercine was used to simulate sliced cheese in various sizes covering most of the pizza base but leaving some yellow showing through to indicate it was a pizza. The pieces were carefully layered to resemble an actual pizza.

Pizza Panic write up
Week One Today I started by creating a mind map in my personal log book. This is something I will refer to time and time again to make sure I am using the correct colours, tools, equipment, materials and following model design ideas. The first thing I did when I got down to K012 was grab a modelling board so that when I was cutting out the plastercine small hairs and flakes wouldnt get stuck to the plastercine. I then got out a scalpel for crafting my models and out-ofbackground objects. This went well as I was constantly aware of where the scalpel was and made sure the people around me were aware that I was using a dangerous implement. No one including myself got hurt. I also got out a ruler so that I could measure the ground lengths for the pieces of yellow card I used as cheese. Taking a permanent black marker I drew multiple holes, the same you would see on Emmental cheese. I did this on 4 pieces of yellow card until the print appeared to be genuine and did not appear to have many large gaps between each hole I drew. The first thing I constructed out of yellow plastercine was the pizza base. To do this I used the scalpel to cut corners of so the pizza looked pixelated as this is part of the retro theme I am trying to show. This took roughly 10-15 minutes but due to several distractions I lost focus. If I hadnt allow myself to become distracted I would have been able to finish the pizza base in under 10 minutes. Then taking red plastercine I cut out 3 pixelated pepperoni slices. After I finished crafting the pixelated pepperoni slices I put them to the side and swapped to using the orange plastercine. The purpose of using this was to simulate the appearance of Red Leicester cheese sliced in small rectangles differing in sizes. I used these to cover most of the pizza but leaving small shades of yellow left so that people could tell it was a pizza. (The sliced cheese aka the orange plastercine was not made to look pixelated as it already had the visual appearance of sharp corners, this is how it is affiliated to my retro pixel theme). After crafting the pixelated pizza base, the pixelated pepperoni slices and the sliced rectangular cheese slices I proceeded to layer them so that it looked more like a pizza. First I used the orange plastercine slices to cover the pizza as this is symbolises cheese and wen building a pizza the first thing people do is cover the base in cheese. Next I precisely placed each pixelated pepperoni slice, making sure to leave a reasonable amount of space between each one so it did not appear to be over crowded.
