Enable Quick Reboot

This document describes how to enable the quick reboot function in Windows NT/2000 by modifying the registry to allow pressing Shift + Ctrl + Alt + Delete to immediately restart Windows without shutting down. Enable Quick Reboot (Windows NT/2000)

This setting allows you to use the quick reboot function to restart Windows imme
diately without shutting down. When enabled, press Shift + Ctrl + Alt + Delete f
or a quick reboot.
pen your registry and find or create the key below.
Create a new String value, or modify the existing value, called "EnableQuickRebo
ot" and set it according to the value data below.
Exit your registry; you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change
to take effect.
Note: This method of rebooting should only be used when the system has stopped r
esponding as some shutdown and clean-up functions will not be run.
