Miss Albrights Class News

November 6, 2015
Announcements:
The Veterans Day program is
Monday, November 9th at
10:00 AM.
Picture retakes and class
pictures will be taken on
Tuesday, November 10th.
Veterans Day is Wednesday,
November 11th. There is no
school for students.
Auburn Reads celebration is
Thursday, November 12th at
the Auburn mall.
Progress reports will go home
on Thursday, November 19th.
Thanksgiving Break will be
November 25th 27th.

A Peek at Our Week


Reading/Language Arts: Our phonics skill for
this week is long a (a_e). We will read and write
words that follow this spelling pattern. In
reading comprehension we will focus on
character, plot, and setting. In writing we are
learning to use commas in a series.
Math: We are continuing adding and
subtracting with numbers 0-20. We are also
learning about addition and subtraction
relationships.
Social Studies: We are learning about Veterans
Day.
Science: We are continuing a unit on balance
and motion.
