C and Z have the same sound so they can be mistaken, here are the rules of C and Z.

The endings I quote, -cita, -cillo, Cilla, -cecillo, -cecilla


written with c.
Examples: bit, nochecita, underwear, hand, little fish, little
light
Las terminaciones -cito, -cita, -cillo, -cilla, -cecillo, -cecilla se
escriben con c.
Ejemplos: pedacito, nochecita, calzoncillo, manecilla, pececillo,
lucecilla

In the case of singular words ending in z to form the plural


with the ending they are written with c.
Examples: lights cross crosses light pencil pencils able
able.

En el caso de las palabras en singular que terminan en z al formar


el plural con la terminacin es se escriben con c. Ejemplos: luz
luces cruz cruces lpiz lpices capaz capaces

C is written with the termination -ing, provided the concrete noun word that ends in -tor relates
rather -SOR. Examples: destroyer, destruction, Director
Se escribe con c la terminacin -cin, siempre que el sustantivo concreto al que se relacione la palabra termine
en -tor y no en -sor. Ejemplos: destructor, destruccin, director, direccin

C they are written with verbs whose infinitives finish in any of the -cer voices -ceder, -cir, -cendir,
-cibir, -cidir. Examples: cook, give, say, receive
Exception: grab, sewing
Se escriben con c los verbos cuyos infinitivos terminen en alguna de las voces -cer, -ceder, -cir, -cendir, -cibir,
-cidir. Ejemplos: cocer, conceder, decir, recibir
Excepcin: asir, coser

C they are written with all compounds and derivatives of words that are written in this letter.
Examples: onions onion; frowning eyebrow.
Se escriben con c todos los compuestos y derivados de las palabras que se escriban con esta letra. Ejemplos:
cebolla encebollado; ceja cejijunto.
