New Safety Policy For Non-Construction Subcontractors, Vendors and Guests
A new safety policy requires subcontractors, vendors, and guests performing hands-on work at LBNL facilities to complete a Subcontractor Job Hazards Analysis and Work Authorization form, review the LBNL EH&S Non-Construction Safety Orientation, and discuss the scope of work, hazards, controls, and required authorizations in a pre-job meeting with the requester/division. The requester/division and subcontractor must then sign the authorization form for the work to proceed, and the requester/division will oversee the subcontractors' work using a risk-based approach.
