The design this product contains special hardware and many circuits and components specially for safety purposes. For continued protection, no changos should be made fo the orginal design unless authorized in wring by the manulacturer. Replacoms parts must be identical to those used inthe original circuits, Service should be performed by qualified personnel only, 2. Alterations ofthe design or crcuity ofthe product should not be made, Any design alterations ofthe product should not be made, Any design alterations or additions will void the manufactur’ warranty and wil further releve the manulacture of responsibilty for personal injury oF property damage resuting therelrom. ‘3. Many electrical and mechanical pars in the product have special safety ~ related characteristics, These characteristics are often not evident trom visual inspection nor can the protection atfordad by them necessariy be ebiained by using replacement components rated for higher voltage, wattage, etc. Replacement parts which have these spacial safety characteristics are identiied in the pars ist of service manual Electrical components having such features are idenitied by ( /N, onthe schematic diagram and pats list inthe service manual. The use of a substituio replacement which does not have the same safety characteristics as the recommended replacement part shown in the pars lst of service manual may create shock, fire, or other hazards. 4. The loads in the products are routed and dressed with tes, clamps , tubings, bariers and the like to be separated from live parts, high temperature parts, mpving parts and or sharp edges forthe prevention of electric shock and fre hazard. When service is required, the cofiginal load routing and dress should be observed, and it should be confimed that they have been returned to normal, ater reassembing 5. Leakage current chock (Electrical shock hazard testing) ‘Altar re ~ assembling the produc, always perform an isolation check on the exposed metal parts ofthe product (antenna terminals, knobs, metal cabinet, screw heads, headphone jack, control shafts, ete) to be sure the product is safe to operate without danger of electrical shock, Do not use a ine isolation wanstormer during this check, + Plug the AC line cord directly into the AC outlet. using a°Leakage current tester, measure the leakage current from each exposed ‘metal part ofthe cabinet, particulary any exposed metal part having return path tothe chassis, to a known good earth ground. Any loakage current must not exposeed 0.5mA AC|r:m..) + Alternate check method Plug the AC line cord directly into the AC outlet. Use an AC voltmeter hhaving 1,000 ohms por volt or more sensitivity inthe folowing manner. Connect a 1,500 ohms 10W resistor paralleled by a 0.15 KL F AC type ‘cepacitor between an exposed metal part and a known good earth AC VOLTMETER (Having 1000 ohmsivet, ‘or more sensitiity 0.15 nF ACTYPE round, Measure the AC volage across the resistor with the AC ace tts probe voltmeter.
