This red folder is your childs Take Home


Folder. It will come home every day filled
with important papers and some of your
childs work. It will need to be returned
every day.
Remember to write down one book a
night in your childs reading log. Once
he/she has read 100 nights, they can begin to take AR tests.

October 6: McAlisters night


October 9: Rocket Run
October 12-15: Parent/Teacher Conference

October 19: 50th day of school (dress up like
the 50s)
October 20: Class picture day
October 21: Farm Field Trip (more info to
come)
October 30: Book Character Day and Fall
Party at 1:30

We are now incorporating all of the Daily 5


stations into our morning block.
Please send in hand sanitizer. We go through
it very quickly, especially when we have lots
of runny noses!

What are we learning this week?


Reading: We are continuing our reading series
and will begin focusing on skills, specific letters,
and word wall words. Our letters are Cc and Oo.
Our skills are asking and answering questions, labeling, making connections, retelling, blending,
and reading poetry. We will be learning the
word wall words: go, you.
Math: We will be working on number sense
(greater than/less than, ten frames, etc.).
Discovery: We will continue learning about fall
and the farm.
Please practice your childs lunch number with
your child!
