KG 2 Newsletter

Week #3

13th Sept to 17th Sept 2015

Dear Parents,
Welcome to Kindergarten 2. Last week we were learning
class routines and behavior expectations in English class. We
will strive to listen, learn, share, respect, and enjoy. We will
sing, dance, read, write, draw, use our Mimio and build and
make.
Weekly Newsletter
Each week, usually on Thursday, I will send home a weekly
letter to explain our planned activities for the following week.
This way you as parents will know what we are learning.
Sometimes I will request that you send items for our food
centers.
Writing in Class
We are learning the letter M this week. Children should learn
to form it correctly, starting at the top of the letter. They should
also learn the sound and be able to identify the sound of /m/
within words.
Class Website:
All the Al Raja English classes have their own website. The
KG2 website is http://alrajaschool.weebly.com/kg2.html. The
weekly newsletters will be posted there along with songs we are
learning, games, and learning resources!

HOMEWORK

SCHEDULE

English Homework file and a newsletter will be given


on every Thursday. Submit the English file along with
the completed homework on every Tuesday.
Normally children will have two kinds of homework:
2 pages in the Reinforcement Book. 1 and
A book to read and write about.
Or
A game to play with a worksheet.

home. Please play the
game several times with
your child. The game
will help them to
identify the alphabets
properly. Make sure you
fill up the Homework
Report ( Yellow Card)
This helps us know how
they did.

Schedule

KG2A will receive a story book from Library on every alternative Monday
and KG2B will receive on every alternative Sunday . Both the classes should
return the story books along with the file on the following Thursday. ( See
