Descriptive Writing Lesson Plan

The lesson plan is for a 40-minute writing lesson for a whole class of 20 students. The goal is for students to create a short descriptive paragraph using vivid language to "show" rather than just "tell". The teacher will provide example passages, lead an activity where students generate descriptive words for an angry character, model writing a descriptive paragraph, and give students guided and individual practice writing their own descriptive paragraphs. Resources include example passages and a whiteboard. Assessment will be the students' descriptive writing pieces.

My teeth chattered as I
