XAMPP 5.6.8 and NetBeans IDE 8.0.2 Full Installation

In this article you can see the installation of XAMPP and NetBeans installation on a Linux
Server (Oracle Linux). Most importantly you can see the advantages. So, it's your choice
which one you prefer !
With XAMPP (in this version) you get : MySQL, phpMyAdmin, Apache , proFTPD etc
With NetBeans full installation you get : Java Database (Derby XML Database), GlassFish
Server, Webservices, JUnit ,Apache Tomcat, Cloud etc.

Tip : On top right of the download page you can change the language, if you prefer to read other

When you open the first link (FAQ Webpage)you can be confirmed that XAMPP is not meant for
production purpose rather practise or test etc.

Note : No disaster happened if it was not set with 755 permission as mentioned on the site

If you do not wish to get other software you can uncheck it

Securing XAMPP

The most important thing is to make sure that your XAMPP is secured with passwords

Run the command again if you do not see the status message with "secure"

phpMyAdmin Login

Click on the this link and you will be taken with the login screen . Login with "root " and the
password that you gave in the last step or with "pma" account

For Log out, click on the symbol that is shown below to logout

NetBeans on Oracle Linux

On top right of the download page the default download will be for Windows
Click the download with "All " to get everything

When you click on the "customize " you can select Apache Tomcat
In this installation the default installation directories are selected. No changes made

Click on "Services" Tab and expand to see all the installations

For example to start GlassFish Server, just right click on it and you will be provided with all
the options
