Field Trip
Field Trip
After reading William Shakespeare play, The Tempest, student in Mr. Halls English 10
class will be treated to director
Aaron Posners Chicago Shakespeare Theater adaptation. Students should arrive at the school
at 4 pm (Eastern time) to load
the bus. The bus (for students
and chaperones only), will leave
the school at no later than 4:30.
The bus should arrive at Navy
Pier at approximately 5:30
(Central time), leaving plenty of
time for dinner before the show
(see the inside for options). Students should meet at the entrance to the theatre to collect
tickets and seat themselves at no
later than 6:45. Immediately following the show, the bus will return to school, likely arriving
around 1:30 am.
PLACES TO STAY
As we will be seeing an evening
show, it will end rather late.
While the bus will be returning
to school, parents who wish to
attend may want to spend the
night in the city. Some accommodations in the area include:
Fairmont Chicago Millennium
Park, Embassy Suites, Hilton
Chicago, and others.

THINGS TO
CONSIDER
While the fieldtrip is intended to be fun, students
should still approach the
play critically so they are
prepared to discuss and /
or write about it afterwards
Students attending the
play should remember
they are representatives of
their school and thus
should dress and act in
ways that uphold the
standards of the school
(specifics about dress will
be discussed in class)
