Layers of The OSI Model

The OSI model has 7 layers that define the functions in network communication. The layers are the Physical layer for signal and binary transmission, the Data Link layer for physical addressing, the Network layer for path determination and logical addressing, the Transport layer for end-to-end connections and reliability, the Session layer for interhost communication, the Presentation layer for data representation and encryption, and the Application layer for network processes to application.
