john Adams was born
on October 30,1735,
in Braintree, (also
know as Quincy)
Massachusetts on
the family farm.

CHILDHOOD
John Adams was raised on a family
farm and named after his father.
John enjoyed all types of outdoor
activities. His favorite one of all
was hunting, after a while he
began to take his gun to school.
this way he would began to hunt
right after school.
John later began farming, just like
his father.

FAMILY
John Adams father was also named john Adams
and his mother was named Susanna Boylston.
His parents only had three sons. John, Peter,
Elihu Adams, was the oldest.
John grew up and later married Abigail Adams,
they had six children between 1761 and 1777,
and lost one to miscarriage.
First was Abigail Adams (referred as Nabby) next
came their oldest son, sixth president of the
united states, john Quincy Adams ||, then was
Susanna Adams before their two sons Thomas
Boylston Adams and Charles Francis Adams.
Last was their daughter Elizabeth Adams

Most of his children were born while he was away
serving in the Continental Congress and was also
gone when Abigail suffered the miscarriage in
1777.
Their children were not all blessed with the same
fortune of health and intelligence as their
parents, mostly because they were always gone.
Their mother, Abigail, left them with relatives
and joined john in Europe for seven years.
They expected each of them to be just like him
fortunately the oldest son did, but the other two
sons both died of alcoholism.
Later his youngest daughter Susanna, died of an
unknown childhood disease.

EDUCATION
john Adams childhood was both free and dedicated
to scholastic achievement. John Adams learned to
read at a young age and was encourage by his
father to take his academics seriously.
John Adams education was successful, and he
managed to earn a scholarship to Harvard; By the
age of 20, he had a degree and began an
apprenticeship under a Mr. Putnam of Worcester.
Here he was granted access to the records of
attorney general of Massachusetts and put his
skills to work in developing a great understanding
of law.
John Adams didnt become famous until 1765, until
he argued against the legality of the stamp act.

ROLE IN THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION


During the 1770s john Adams
was a delegate to the continental
congress. In the 1780s Adams
serve as a diplomat in Europe
and helped negotiate the Treaty
of Paris (1783), which officially
ended the American Revolution
War (1775-1783). From 1789 to
1797 john Adams was Americas
first vice president
