Drilling mud (water based mud) is been mixed using mixer for about 5 min.
Mud balances cup is poured with drilling mud until it is full.
The cup been closed with lid and excess mud is been wiped with lab tissues.
The filled balance then is been balanced on base.
Rider is adjusted and level bubble been observed until it is perfectly fit in the middle
scale.
Reading in front of rider is been recorded which were in unit of pound per gallon
Drilling mud (water based mud) is been mixed using mixer for about 5 min.
The said mud is poured into 500 ml measuring cylinder.
Hydrometer is being submerged into drilling mud and reading of hydrometer is noted.
Used hydrometer is taken out and been wiped with lab tissues.
Step 3 and 4 is repeated three times and the specific gravity (SG) of the drilling mud
is been averaged.
The whole experiment is been repeated with another drilling mud (oil based mud).
