Councilmember Gloria Comments on SDPD Assessment
Councilmember Supports More Accountability Measures for All Levels of SDPD SAN DIEGO, CA (March 17, 2015) Councilmember Todd Gloria today issued a statement following the release of an assessment of the San Diego Police Department by the Department of Justices Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The Department of Justice report makes clear several deficiencies that need addressing throughout the San Diego Police Department. The vast majority of San Diego Police officers work tirelessly and professionally for our city and our citizens. I look forward to additional measures for true accountability and transparency that will help to rebuild the trust that was tarnished by the egregious and illegal acts by some and the poor management by others, said Councilmember Gloria. ###
