EXAMINATION PAPER (UPSR) ANALYSIS

PAPER 1 (40 QUEST.)


1-4: best word (completing the sentence)
5-7: best phrases (based on the pictures)
8-10: best answers (based on pictures)
11-15: best sentence (based on situation, dialogue)
16-20: grammar
21: synonyms
22-23: spelling
24-25: punctuation
26-30: reading comprehension (based on a passage and picture)
31-35: reading skills (extracting info from information given; ie: poster,etc.)
36-40: reading comprehension (extracting info from a passage)

PAPER 2 (3 SECTIONS)

Section A
For which pupils must produce five sentences based on the picture given.

Section B (part a & part b)


For which pupils will be given a table of comparison between two/three items

fill in the blanks with information given.


Reasoning pupils need to choose one of the best item/product given in part a

and state reasoning of their choice

Section C
Writing

COMMENTS ANALYSIS

Paper 1; Less words >> more words (easy to hard)


In terms of time, for Paper 1, 1 quest. 1.25 secs. For Paper 2, maybe 25mnts spent for

every section)
For weak students
Not enough time to answer all

Cover all language component (grammar, comprehension, reasoning, spelling, etc.)
