A Dropped Object Test Using Ansys LS - DYNA - Final

- ACT (Application Customization Toolkit) allows users to customize Ansys Workbench applications without external coding. It provides extensions like Workbench LS-DYNA. - Workbench LS-DYNA provides interactive access to LS-DYNA simulations within Workbench. It offers pre/post-processing tools and allows modeling dropped objects and comparing results to static analyses. - The demo shows how to set up a dropped cylinder impact simulation in Workbench LS-DYNA against a plate, run the simulation, and compare results like stresses and strains to an equivalent static analysis.

Workbench LSDYNA
Introduction to Application Customization Toolkit (ACT)

ACT(ApplicationCustomizationToolkit)isafullfeaturedscriptinginterfacetocustomizeapplications
in workbench. ACT provides the internal mechanisms that allow users to customize an Ansys
workbenchapplicationwithoutcompilingexternalcodeorlinkingwithexistinglibraries.
ACT will allow you to add custom features to the mechanical interface that are specific to your
industryorevenoneparticularmodel.TheseapplicationsarecalledextensionsbyANSYS.
Among different ACT Extensions, the Workbench LSDYNA is an ACT extension which provides an
