Pipe Calculations

This document calculates the total head loss in a pipeline system. The total head loss equals the static head of 12.867 m plus pump losses of 0.1 m, pipeline losses of 0.236178 m, and losses in valves and fittings of 0.49324159 m, for a total of 13.69642 m. The pipeline losses are calculated based on a flow rate of 40 l/s in a 0.2 m diameter HDPE pipe that is 36 m long. Losses in valves and fittings are also accounted for.
