Simple Past Tense

The document discusses using the simple past tense in English. It provides examples of changing regular verbs into the past tense by adding "-ed" or "-d" and changing verbs ending in "y" to add "-ied". It also notes that some irregular verbs are changed in the past tense, like "lead" becoming "led", while others like "cut" stay the same. It includes two tables, one listing common irregular verb changes from present to past tense, and another matching verbs to their correct past tense forms.
